We’re so excited to welcome you to our community and we believe that every Graduation Candidate deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of the obstacles they have faced or the path that brought them here. At Cincinnati Acceleration Academies, we are committed to creating an environment where students are seen, supported, challenged and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
My journey in education has always been guided by one unwavering belief: education changes lives. For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of serving students and families in a variety of roles — as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, resident principal, building principal and network instructional leader. These experiences have allowed me to work alongside incredible educators and communities to improve student outcomes through strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and a relentless commitment to educational equity.
Throughout my career, I have led school improvement efforts, developed systems that support both students and educators, and championed data-informed instructional practices that ensure every learner receives the support they need to thrive. Whether coaching teachers, leading intervention programs, or serving as a school principal, my focus has always remained the same: building schools where every student feels valued, challenged, and inspired to achieve more than they thought possible.
At Cincinnati Acceleration Academies, we recognize that every GC's story is unique. Many of our students are balancing responsibilities, overcoming challenges or returning to school with renewed determination. We honor those journeys by providing personalized learning, flexible pathways and a caring team of educators who believe in your potential every step of the way.

Notice: All Acceleration Academies coaches are licensed and Highly Qualified Teachers (HQT) and all employees are enrolled in Rapback. Parents have the right to request Coach qualifications at the start of every year.

Graduation Candidates receive the flexibility they need with a required 25 hours of on-site learning each week, plus year-round access to our online learning platform and dedicated Content Coaches. Whether you're balancing work, family, or other responsibilities, you'll have the support you need to earn your high school diploma on your own terms.
Choose the block schedule that works best for you.
We build your schedule with you at orientation, so it fits around job, family and life. Stay consistent — we check progress weekly, and most GCs finish a course in about 3-4 weeks.

- Stay on Track: Each graded activity in Edmentum courses moves progress forward.
- Keep the Pace: GCs are paced to complete a 0.5 credit course in 3 weeks (21 days)

Life happens. Your education doesn't have to stop. Graduation Candidates have year-round access to their online learning platform, Content Coaches and Graduation Candidate Advocates, giving them the flexibility to stay on track through life's unexpected moments. With continuous support and access to learning, students can keep making progress toward graduation on their own timeline.

Cincinnati Acceleration Academies partners with approved State of Ohio postsecondary institutions to offer eligible GCs the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Ask your Director for more information.

GCs can access Ohio’s no-cost, comprehensive career planning system by visiting OhioMeansJobs.com.
The site allows GCs to use career exploration tools, take online training, learn more about their career interest, in-demand jobs, build resumes, search for college and training programs, create a budget, and develop meaningful academic and career plans for high school and beyond.

- We review all IEPs & 504 plans with your school district prior to enrolling. This is part of the application review process.
- We have dedicated special education teachers in each academy.
- We have English Language Learner (ELL) coaches in each academy. Course content can be translated to other languages.

Focus on Learning
At Cincinnati Acceleration Academies, we want every Graduation Candidate to get the most out of their time on campus. To create a focused, supportive learning environment where students can fully engage with their Content Coaches, classmates and coursework, personal cell phone use is restricted during on-site learning hours.
Keeping Your Technology Safe
We know your phone is important. That's why the Academy provides a secure place for Graduation Candidates to store their cell phones while they are on campus.
This policy is in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.
In the event of a school or community emergency, GCs, families and guardians will be communicated to by our director through our texting and broadcast call platform.

Cincinnati Acceleration Academies is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where every Graduation Candidate can learn free from harassment, intimidation, bullying, and cyberbullying. This includes on or around school grounds and on the internet or social media.
- The Academy takes any report of bullying, harassment and assault seriously and will issue corrective action upon report and investigation.
- The Academy may also implement strategies to support the targeted GC, prevent retaliation, and promote a safe learning environment.

We lead with relationships, restorative dialogue, and skill-building. Approaches include Community Circles, Restorative Conferences, and proactive language to repair harm and rebuild trust, especially lower level behavior that can be supported by speaking with a trusted adult and feeling like our GCs belong on campus

REQUIRED COURSES AND END OF COURSE EXAMS English Language Arts 4 Credits – English I, English II, English III, English IV Yes (English II) Mathematics 4 Credits – One credit must be Algebra II, Geometry with Statistics, Algebra I, Algebra II with Probability, Pre-Calculus/Statistics/Calculus. In addition to fulfilling curriculum requirements and meeting the competency requirements, students also must show they are prepared for their next steps after high school. State law created 12 diploma seals for students to demonstrate academic, technical and professional readiness for careers, college, the military or self-sustaining professions. Each seal allows students to demonstrate knowledge and skills essential for future success in their chosen post-high school paths. Students will demonstrate readiness by earning at least two diploma seals, one of which must be state-defined. Seals help students develop an array of critical skills that are valuable to them as they transition to the next steps after high school. Schools should consider encouraging students to pursue seals that meet their individual interests and skills. The Safer Ohio School Tip Line is a free safety resource available to all Ohio schools. The tip line is an anonymous reporting system that accepts tips via call, text, webform, and mobile app 24 hours-a-day. Anyone can download the Safer Ohio School Tip Line app or use the webform.
This tip line allows students and adults to anonymously share information with school officials and law enforcement about threats to student safety — whether that involves a threatened mass incident or harm to a single student.
Things to report to the tip line include (but are not limited to):
- Bullying incidents;
- Withdrawn student behaviors;
- Verbal or written threats observed toward students, faculty or schools;
- Hazing;
- Weapon/suspicious devices on or near school grounds;
- Gang-related activities;
- Unusual/suspicious behavior of students or staff;
- Self-harm or suicidal sentiments; and
- Any other school safety-related concerns.

This year, Cincinnati Acceleration Academies is partnering with Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) and the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF) to provide Be Present Ohio: The Online Experience (BPO:XP) to students. This online program was developed by mental health experts to educate teens about mental health and suicide prevention.
Be Present Ohio (BPO) is a mental health and suicide prevention initiative for teens and young adults in the state of Ohio. We recognize that life can be tough, and everyone faces challenges that can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to go through it alone. We’re here to provide support, resources, and a safe space for teens and young adults to find the help they need. Together, we can navigate the hard times and start the conversation.
